Adult Learning OpportunitiesEach Sunday morning at 9:15, several exciting learning options are available for adults.
The Living Faith Class,: "Learning from Christians of Other Times and Places," based on Diana Butler Bass's book A People's History of Christianity: The Other Side of the Story. Led by Mary Shepardson. Meets in Bitting Hall.
The Bible Study Class, led by Bill Gurley, will focus on the Gospel of Luke. Bible Study Class begins with prayer and then moves to reading and a spirited discussion of the selected Scripture for each session. Meets in the Community Room. The Karen Bible Class, A Study of Gospels led by Pastor Carey San is a Bible study class in the Karen language for adults. Meets in the library. The Young Adult Class, led by Linda Novak, is a Bible study and faith exploration class for young adults. We are currently using the Alive Now series for our readings and bible study. We are working on learning and reading in English with the Karen/Karini young adults. Meets in the young adult classroom behind the chancel.
