Adult Learning Opportunities

Each Sunday morning at 9:15, several exciting learning options are available for adults.

The Living Faith Class, "Active Prayer," led by  Kara Reagan and Mary Shepardson. Whether our goal in prayer is to be silent and open before God, to pray for a friend in need, or ask for God's help in our own lives, we often find that distractions make it hard to pray. This series on "Active Prayer," will try out some alternatives to sitting in silence while we pray, practices that get us up and moving and doing something in order to focus our attention and minimize distractions. Meets in Bitting Hall.

The Bible Study Class, led by Bill Gurley, will focus on the book of I Corinthians. Bible Study Class begins with prayer and then moves to reading and a spirited discussion of the selected Scripture for each session. Meets in the Community Room.

The Karen Bible Class, led by Pastor Carey San is a Bible study class in the Karen language for adults. Meets in the library.

The Karen Young Adult Class, led by Jan Jones and Linda Novak, is a class on learning English through Bible study and faith exploration for Karen young adults. Meets in the young adult classroom behind the chancel.
