Interim Minister Mike Dixon
Mike Dixon joined us as our Interim Minister on October 17, 2011.
We remember fondly Mike and Sandy’s time with us when Mike Dixon was our Interim Minister from August 2006 to August 2007.
Mike has been a trained intentional interim minister in the St. Louis area for the past ten years. Before that, he served as a pastor in Iowa for 12 years, and as an editor/curriculum developer at Christian Board of Publication here in St. Louis for over 20 years. Mike was educated at Culver-Stockton College and Christian Theological Seminary. He loves doing interim ministry because of the rich variety of churches and people that he gets to serve and learn from. Sandy and Mike have been married 46 years, and have 3 grown children and 3 grandsons.

Associate Pastor: Kara Reagan
Kara Reagan was called as a pastor of Second Baptist Church in January 2010. While completing her Masters of Divinity at Eden Theological Seminary, Kara served as Second’s student intern. Prior to her call at Second Baptist Church, Kara served a chaplain at BJC West Hospital in Creve Coeur and as Colorado College Shove Chapel intern in Colorado Springs, CO. Kara has served Second in many capacities including leading the youth group, facilitating their annual trip to camp in Green Lake, WI, teaching Sunday school, preaching and regular worship leadership. As Second transitions into an interim pastorate, Kara will continue in these ministries and also take on a role as head facilitator of our Karen/Karini ministries.
Music Staff: Marilyn and Brad Short
Marilyn Short has been the Music Director since 2006, having served as the organist and choir accompanist since 1999. A member of the American Guild of Organists, Marilyn is also the staff choral accompanist at Webster Groves High School. Marilyn has accounting degrees from Kansas State University.
